I just got some ads added on to my site and they seem to only look messed up on my computer. Everyone else who has seen it says they look fine. I do not have any idea why it doesn't look the same on mine. The site is http://sendbackup.com. Here's what it looks like on my computer in the newest (non beta) Firefox Can anyone please help me with this?
You mean the menu? That's all I see that's weird. There's clearly not enough room for them and Contact is being bumped down. The people who are telling you nothing is wrong have wider screens than you. When the screen is like 1000+ px wide, everything's cool. But you don't have a set width on that middle container so when the browser window gets smaller, everything tries to go underneath everything, and before I get to 800px wide the middle container is gone (dropped to the bottom). You'll have to set a width, or at least a min width, on that middle container. That loses your flexibility but you just have a lot of stuff in there now with the ads and all-- flexible width can't work on small rez's or browser window sizes when there's just a lot of stuff on the page. You could try a min-width, which would make a scrollbar show on the bottom when under certain resolutions, yet keeps growing for people with huge screens.
I don't know if its only me thats seeing the site messed up. At least 5 other people I talked to said it looked fine and the ads were not interfering at all. I can't find any reason that it should look different on my computer.
Can you increase your screen resolution? I have a very very large screen here-- so I'm able to see the site on a very very wide browser window. When I shrink the browser window with the resizer, I start to see the stuff you have in your image. Your friends have larger monitors or screen resolutions than you. Try to increase the screen rez if you can, or find a computer/laptop with a high screen rez, and then start making the browser window smaller. You'll see what I'm talking about. I saw nothing amiss at first too. If you can't increase your resolution, you can probably still make your browser window smaller. I can tell from the picture that you don't have 800x600, because the page loses the middle content altogether at that size.
