Need help with blogging software

    Hi, I'm not sure if people runs blogs with hosting company software or what? I'm starting a music blog and I want to have a similar blogging program like the one at http://www.exposetheleft.com. Can you guys get me going in the right direction? Thanks!

    It's very good blogging software based on my experience with it. The other one you can try is Blogger from Google.

    With that one you won't need databases at your host company. Just FTP access. Both are free. Good luck.

    There are plenty of different blogging programs and different blogging hosts out there.

    WordPress as nick mentioned is what is being run on the site you referenced. It is good software but takes some technical abilities to setup. You have to be able to setup a MySQL database and set a fair number of options, etc. To change the look and feel, you generally have to be proficient in FTP.

    An easier solution may be to just let someone else host your blog for you. Again there are plenty of free blog hosting solutions out there. Just do a search in any search engine you trust for "blog software" or "free blog host" or something similar and you'll find enough stuff to keep you busy for weeks :)

    actually you can choose from several blogging softwares but I recommend using wordpress.org for this one
