Need Help With Bad Experience With Another DP Member

I made the mistake of contacting a Digital Point member directly about doing some design work for me. This person won a contest I ran and was a good designer and seemed like an honest guy. I thought it was safe to contact the person directly for more work.

The job I asked him to do was for $100. He asked for a $50 deposit via PayPal, which I paid immediately. It's been well over a week now and even though he promised me drafts of the designs by now he hasn't delivered anything.

Everytime I email him and ask him where the design is at, he replies with an apology and that he'll have something for me by the end of the day (which of course I never get).

At this point I just want to move on and find another designer. Am I out that $50 or can I get it back somehow? And can I somehow call this Digital Point member out? If nothing else, I'd just like to vent about this guy so others can be made aware of him in this forum.

    Any suggestions?

    Travis

if your unable to get a straight answer from him, and you have made the effort, tell us who it is and get ready to prove it.

$50 is too much to lose.

DP does not like that kind of thing they will maybe kick you out as well if you used paypal then file a complaint with them and POST his name in the POST and if you see his name in another post doing the same thing warn them.

Hey! People get busy sometimes. Offer him an ultimatum: either show a draft tonight or refund your payment.

If he refuses to refund your payment, threaten to take it to paypal. Paypal will give you your money back if it comes to it.

Well I had once purchased an ebook from a DP member just because many DP members purchased it and said the book was interesting. When I actually purchased it, I found it disgusting. I feel, these days even if I have to trust reviews of other DP members, I will have to think twice.
