Hi, I own the domain itspainted.com, but I'm not too sure what I should do with it. I was gonna just sell the domain, but I figured I could make a lot more if I developed it a bit. I'm not sure what to do though. What should I make the site about? How should I market it once I do have it up and running. I am a designer, so the design work will be easy, but I'm just not sure what to design, and where I can get content for it. Any help? Thanks
The first thing that comes to mind is a site about "how to pain" guides. Why not get articles written about that? I must agree that if you develope it, you can sell it off for much more!
think u shld do something u are interested in and not purely for $$$ as it will not last. If you cannot find something u r excited or interested to do with the domain, then i suggest selling it. since u are good at designing, how abt writing articles with good illustrations on how to design? get additional articles on painting wld be helpful too of course....
The domain was basically given to me, so I'm going to try to make the best that I have of it. I do infact usually make sites on something that I'm passionate about, which is why I have a sports graphics site. In this case though, I have no passion for painting at all. Designing I do have a passion for though, so I could try to incorporate that. But like I said, the name was basically given to me, I didn't exactly choose it. What I could also do is just make a design for it, and sell the domain and design instead of having to write content for it aswell.
actually, think it is not the best idea as design is very subjective and the person taking over it may have alot of different ideas or plans that might not suit your design. If you are just gonna design something and sell it, it wld not be worth your while and might not increase the value of the site much more. Content is what is going to change the value of your site and if you are not adding much content, then i suggest don't bother.
