It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help with this!!!!!

My blog is appending all tags as meta keywords, and I'm pretty sure that All In One SEO is somehow doing it, unless this is a new feature I'm not aware of (?) If it is AIOSEO, how do I get it to stop doing this? There is no option for "set tags as meta keywords" anywhere.... I just dont know what to do, and I now have about 400 pages with duplicate meta keywords in them :(

+ rep for anyone who can resolve this!

I don't think it is AIOSEO. Try to check your other plug-ins to see if they are conflicting with AIOSEO possibly. If that doesn't work, then you could alter the robot.txt file to steer search engine robots clear of those duplicate pages.

You may also have this plug-in installed: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wptags-4-metakeywords/#post-2632

    And I like your avatar.

nope - no metamagic...this is what I'm using:

    Configurable tag cloud
    Adsense Deluxe
    Akismet
    All in one seo
    Limit posts
    Popularity contest
    Related posts

I'm still pretty sure all-in-one is doing this, but I'm afraid to disable it and lose a lot of hard work since stupid things tend to happen. The only other thing it could be is some out of the box option in Wordpress, but I wasnt aware such a thing exists?

There is a checkbox on AIOSEO that says to use categories as meta tags (or something like that)
check it to ON and and just your category rather then tags should show, see if that solves your problem.

Simply uncheck the autogenerate meta tags menu in All in One Seo....

Also, if you have any tags plugin installed, then remember most tags plugin assigns meta tags automatically if you dont explicitly tell them not to do so from the settings/options of that plugin.

Also, if you have ever used anything except aioseo for that title tags purpose, be sure that beside disabling the plugin, you have deleted that specific plugin table from the sql tables. Best of luck!

Thanks for the replies! I'm a little confused with something - the "use categories as meta keywords" was actually never checked to begin with. Here are my current settings:

Any ideas if any of these options might be causing this? Thanks

All three... meta descriptions, title and keywords... aka all the three boxes that you see when you write a post. Unclick it and also remember that from now on you have to assign title and description yourself when writing a post/page.

For the record I was saying to turn "use categories as meta keywords" ON.

This would list just your category (not tags) as the keyword meta, not remove it completely.
