Hey, I recently started a web hosting service called weberser.com and I was wondering what the best way to spread the word is. Thanks, Mark G
ok then check this out. its free. it helps you get customers to your website and the first 7 days is free. its pretty legit. www. hits2u .com/ ?984752 (the link is supposed to be together but it wasn't letting me post it)
Idea 1: If you have an affiliate program, try finding some JV partners in the warrior forum. Idea 2: Give away some accounts to advocacy groups or charities and just place a link or banner in every page. Idea 3: Make your hosting niche specific and open a free forum for that niche. Hope that helps
Try to divide your time by kicking off with search engine optimization; blog and forum posting, article submission, press release, directory submission, RSS feeds, guest blog posting etc. After that is promoting your website through the use of social media, reach out your targeted audience and interact with them. ps. There are also offline or traditional marketing strategies you may want to try.
thats really a heavy market, you have to beat other web hosting service that has been years in this market, give somethings different in your service, make some seo contest to get promoted and many others.
What do people look for in a host? Uptime Space (Although honestly this isn't huge, most pages aren't that big) 2-4GB is usually enough for most poeple Bandwith HUGE.. if I have a lot of traffic I need some decent BW Fantastico & Packages.. What do you offer for blogging /CMS / PHP installs.. (PHPList is going to be HUGE for this crowd) Then toss your name out there. If you are part of a primary business offer those people in your tribe 25%-50% off your regular rate to get the word out there...
Weberser offers a cPanel Control panel with fantastico. But I am unsure if we are offering enough bandwidth if you guys wouldn't mind checkout weberser.com/billing/order. Thanks
Looking at your billing you have tons of free options.. your bandwith should be fine.. especially if your servers are stable. 1GB of bandwith is pretty good for most people and most sites.. One of my newly started blog site.. 52 visits 93 pageviews (Actual pages loaded), not including the admin work , = about 27MB of bandwith.. If they add video and audio it goes up quite a bit from there.. but for text pages you can figure about 1mb per visit.. so 1kmb will yeild about 1k users monthly. If someone starts getting that big and still cant start paying for more bandwith for the business.. then they need to change their plan for more conversions / ads.
That is a very very competitive niche.... I think if you're not an established webhosting company already, one of the best ways to get targeted traffic is by using PPC. But I would target long-tailed keywords. Otherwise, I would start some article marketing campaigns and a few Press Release submissions.
