Need Help, VERY Low Impressions?

    I don't understand this?
I've used adwords several times before and never had a problem with my impressions?
I've now got my ads running at top CPC (around $3+) and I've added new keywords. My CTR isn't too low either, at 2.2-2.5%. Several days ago I would be getting 20k impressions+, nowadays I'm lucky to get 2k impressions a day - how come?

What are you doing to drive traffic to the site? Are you getting a high enough number of visits?

Standard site optimization and link building may play an important factor. Where you rank in the major search engines for the keyword phrases related to people finding your site pages may be the key to unlocking your mystery. IMHO.

You probably could look through your recent log files to see the numbers (e.g. visits, repeat visits, keyword phrases, etc.) to see what things were before and what they are now. :)

Yep, I'd say I'm getting enough.
The real thing that shocked me is, how I could get 10x more visitors under a week ago, paying about half my CPC? It seems as if there's a limit for me or something?

Sounds like you may be getting visitors that are looking for one thing while your site page may be offering another. This is why I recommended looking into the logs for what people are finding you by.

Knowing what they searched for specifically and what pages they visited (e.g. initially as well as exited) may provide clues as to where the differences are between what they want and what you want. IMO. :)

Well, the problem lies within the impressions...
My ads are pretty much exactly the same as others who are present with the same keywords, I offer the same services. I type my keywords into google, and my ads don't appear, but others do? As I said, I am paying alot more for CPC than what would be recommended. I don't understand why mine aren't being shown though.

Sounds like you may be getting visitors that are looking for one color scheme while your site page may be offering another. This is why I recommended using multiple different color sites and looking into the logs for what people are finding more asthetically pleasing.

Knowing what colors they like specifically and what pages they visited (e.g. initially as well as exited) may provide clues as to where the differences are between what they want and what you got.

See my Psychic Powers of Favorite Colours site.

PS add pie to the site. Everybody likes pie. (not 3.14... the one you eat.)

    Why would that matter?
The point is that google must be limiting my impressions? My CTR is fine, my CPC is very high, that should equal a good amount of impressions, right?

Hi Blitz, I was just messin with you. Sorry.

I have seen a significant drop in impressions, though not as drastic as yours. I have kept my accounts exactly the same as they were before the change (with the exception of retrying 'disabled' keywords) and I use the Budget Optimizer. I do not intend to make any changes for at least a couple of weeks. This way, I feel that I will have a better idea of what has changed.

Also keep in mind that Google, Commission Junction and Overture have done major upgrades this week. I think that is a statement that mid August is the lowest traffic time of the year.

Have you checked your daily budget? ... Maybe it's too low.

Did you have the "search network" or "content network" turned on and now it is off?
