Hi guys. About 5 years ago I used to visit a site and was really ready to dive deep into the whole interent, then life happened and I lost my way. Anyway now I'm looking to get back into EVERYTHING 100%. The problem is back then, going from memory and a google search the site I found that advanced me in like a week of visiting it, from simple things like transferring me from IE to Firefox and then never looking back, all those years ago, I'm now unable to find anywhere. The part I don't get is where it's gone. I'm thinking it's been sold and had the domain changed. If any of you have seen Live Free Die Hard and can think of the 'Digital Jedi,' aka Warlock, aka Kevin Smith, then you'll know where I want to see myself. Back then the community of people on the website was fantastic, and like I said, in one week alone I was miles ahead of pretty much everyone I met online, even in terms of how to find cool websites, which I no longer remember how to stay on top and generally ahead of these trends. That site taught me all the tools and I've since fogotten. The people were warm and friendly, and while they may have mocked the fact I was a noob, ie "you don't know what ff (firefox)is? EPICLOL" They were more than happy to share their knowledge and database of everything from books on programming, coding, photoshop, security, hacking, anything you wanted they helped point you in the right direction. So my HUGE question is now, where the hell has DarkMindz gone? Was it sold? Was it hacked? Etc? Also for those of you who might think I'm full of it, I point you to a few urbandictionary quotes about DarkMindZ: OK, so if you guys can't answer this one right away, that's cool. BUT back then if I was looking for something the guys on that site said "search here" or "search this" or "search that" etc. They also had a database full of useful books on everything from A-Z and a list of sites that would help webmasters keep ahead of trends, like all the sites you see that are unique and cool, most of them are found weeks ahead, if not months, before the mass media or social sites like facebook and twitter get onto the hype.... So do you guys who spend the majority of your lives on the internet please try and point me in the right direction now? Is there an alternative to DarkMindz? Is Darkmindz under another domain name? Is there a site/s you can point me towards with all these cool unique trendy places? Is there something that's happened on the net in these last 5 years that is important and I really need to know? I guess I'm really after the more unique sites found in the secret corners of the web that are pure gold to write about on your website months before they are picked up by the mass media. Glad I could point you to some stuff there Meltinzone. What you are doing is what we all do, so you are up against not only amateurs, and lonely professionals, but also rooms full of people racking their brains. Still, the Internet is the last best hope of the entrepreneur. Everybody starts out with a blank page. If you are serious, and you are, invest in Market Samurai. That's basic. Second, become friends with Google Insight For Search. That's also a basic tool. Lastly, check into polling sites. See which polling questions are trending the best. You'll be surprised. Norm
