Hi Firstly, I am going to be a little descriptive with my problem as I am absolutely a new person in this field and its my first website I am trying upload. I had my blog namely, www.nutriliteinida/blogspot.com running. As I wanted to host it on hostmoster.com so I bought a domain name www.nutriliteindia.com from go daddy and bought host server at hostmonster.com. I changed the nameserver to n1.hostmoster.com and n2.hostmonster.com (provided by hostmonster.com). But now I really do not understand how to go ahead from here. It is showing the error "The page you have requested is currently under construction. If you are the website owner you must remove this temporary page prior to viewing your site. It is named "default.html" and is located in your /public_html folder." The hostmonster people have said they can't me as it is my personal problem. Can someone guide me about it as I really do not know how to do it. Thanks Aunindita
The construction page shows you that your nameservers have propagated. You may now use FTP to upload all your files and go through the process of installation. You can remove the construction page by removing the default.html page.
If you already have the blog running, and just want it transfered to another webhost, you will have to fix the paths and the database information. 1. Create a database in the new host. 2. Put the files in the file manager of the new host. (Use FTP, thats the best thing, e.x Filezilla Client) 3. Import the database using Phpmyadmin in the database created in step 1 4. Open the configuration file of your wordpress blog and edit the database information as setup by you in step 1 5. You should be fine now.. --------- I provide hosting myself. If you by any chance want to switch to another host, i'll do all the settings for you and you just have to sit back. --------- Hope the above information helps.
