Need help transferring sites from Godaddy elsewhere

    Need help transferring sites from Godaddy to another host

    And from one Godaddy account to another


    Anyone know how to go about it?

    back up your data using ftp or the back up tool in your countrol panel then reupload them to your new server

    Check out if your hosting company do it for free. Some does.

    Otherwise use ftp for files. Backup database if any. then have them set on the new hosting.

    If you can access by ftp, then yeah, just download (then you'll also have a backup, which never hurts!) and re-upload to the root of the new site. Like hostwebdata said :)

    godaddy does not have Cpanel and so you will have to manually backup DB/Files/Mail your self.

    DB, use PHPmyAdmin
    Files, use any FTP client.
    Mail, download them via POP3

    You can then restore them on the new server the same way.
    Note: To restore mails, you will have to use IMAP.
