Hi, I really need of this help to complete transfer my website. I am currently having one website hosted with some hosting provider where i have only one website hosting feature.currently i bought a new hosting account with hostgator with addon domain options. now i want to get support for following requirements. i have taken the backup from current server with database, now i need to restore the files and databases with new hostgator server for addon domain which i created. how to do this job. please support me to complete this tast. Greetings, Questions; What type of control panel does your old hosting have? ( Cpanel? ) Hostgator uses CPanel, so if your old hosting is also CPanel the transfer should be fairly easy. Your aware of DNS nameserver transfer? Regards, SSANZ
Thank you for your reply. old hosting also has Cpanel only. is there any support to transfer the files to current hostgator addon domain. i have not changed dns yet. actually i have taken the full backup from current hosting. now i need to restore with hostgator cpnal addon domain. please support me to do this.
You can ask hostgator to help you. I am sure many hosting companies do the transfer for their clients for free. If I were you asking hostgator would be my first priority.
and to inform u most of the companies have separte migration dept: and i hope hostgator must have a separate migration deptt: which will definetly move ur data after submission of ticket
