Need help to transfer my Wordpress blogs to other server.

    I have a blog in my sig.. My hosting right now is always down.. I bought new hosting from known web hosting provider..


    How to transfer my wordpress blog to my new hosting. I want including all contents... I can pay but I want to do it myself for me to learn.

    Can anyone give me instruction on how to do it.. I have knowledge in FTP and DNS and MYSQL database.

    1.Backup database
    2.Backup database
    3.Download files
    4.Change nameserver to point to new domain
    5.Create new database on new server
    6.Edit wp-config to include new server and database info
    7.Import database dump file to new database
    8.Upload files
    9.I think your done

    Thank Nigel Lew but I just read the features of my new hosting - they will transfer the site for free..
