Hi All, I am new to this digitalpoint community. I need your help. I have sometime & I want to start my own Forum. I have two questions. I hope someone will help. 1. Which type of Forum is profitable ? I have researched & found that Warez forums have a large number of active members but its illegal. I am from Asia where Warez allow. Should I start this or not. If not then which type of forum should I start? 2. Which Forum Software is Reliable? I have tried IPB, SMF & phpBB2. I can run any script from these. But I am confused that which forum script is best. phpBB3 is coming tomorrow & I have read alot of topics that people are going to migrate to phpBB from SMF. Please tell me which forum is best. ( NO vBulletin please, Please I have no experience with this. ) Members please help me. I hope members will give me valuable solution for this. Have a nice day! Take Care
IPB is the best in my opinion but it's shareware. As for subject of forum: Try to choose exclusive thematics. For example, I started a tutorials site in Georgia. There were no such sites in my country, so it became quite popular.
