If you have shell access on both of your servers, you can try packing your site (e.g., into a tarball) then transfer it to another one using wget.

It is not advisable to transfer an account which has 1-2 GB size. It may possible that some of the files will not transfer successfully. Package your account on your current server and then move it to your new server to restore your account. This is for cpanel to cpanel transfer. I have never done Plesk to cPanel transfer.

He posted here, why don't you just reply in the thread :confused:

Anyway, for cPanel I would use cPanel file manager or sheel to package the account into one big zip/tar file.

Put this file in your public_html directory.

    Eg:

    /home/username/public_html/tarball.tar.gz

Then, log into your new server using shell and use this command:

    wget http://www.yourdomain.com/tarball.tar.gz

Then use cpanel file manager or shell to unpackage the files in the new account. You will also have to move emails and stuff.

I am not using cPanel a long time, so I don't remember if cPanel can import Plesk sites, but you always can ask your vendor to compress your current data to one file, then ftp it to new server, and decompress it there. Copy data to correct folder. Import mysql databases, then you will be fine.

Usually, when changing the control panel, you will need to do some handy jobs. If you are not familiar with Linux command, you might consider to hire an experience admin to do it for you

you can ftp to public_html and check the permission of that file. Usually it should be 644

Are you trying to do this in SSH or PHP?

Try in SSH. Also set the public_html to 0777 then change it back to 0644 after you are finished.

Have you checked what the default document is? For example, on server, the default document is set as index.html, but you don't have it in your public_html
