You can't turn a Joomla site into a Wordpress site.

You can rebuild it on Worpdress and migrate the content.
You can have your theme redesigned as a Wordpress Theme.
You can find another similar ads manager plug in for Wordpress.

But you cannot take a Joomla site or plug in and magically turn them into Wordpress.

Yes, you need to know a few things.

Here's a start: Joomla to Wordpress Import Wizard

I don't know Joomla, but you should at least know how to set up your database. It's pretty simple through your hosting control panel and you can follow the WP 5 minute install:

I did a similar migration a couple years ago and took quite a while. It only worked with the prior versions of Joomla (not the 1.5 version) It has some automation with the import info, but it was not perfect. There was a lot of cleanup of the html and tags. And the images didn't come across well. I had to fix all of those links.

How many pages, posts, and classified posts do you have? If you don't have too much, you might consider a manual move rather than trying to import it automatically.

I am getting ready to tackle this one more time and I'd like to know how you end up doing it. . . I am personally dreading it.
