Need help to get a PHP script to run on a local machine

This may be very remedial question for the talent on this board but I am in need of a little assistance

I had a guy install this site map creator on a lap top of mine a couple of years ago. It worked great for creating 4 site maps.

I know it was set up using localhost along with a bookmark on my browser.

I'm now trying to install a later version on a PC and sure how to go about it.

You might want to look at using XAMPP from Apache Friends or EasyPHP

Both are very easy to set up by reading and following the directions.

 

I use Xampp its really good

 

Try WAMP Server

or XAMPP server.

Use EasyPHP

 

i think he got a local server up and running so what he needs to do is install the script...

 

I use WOS and it's even easier to install than XAMPP

unfortunately at the moment I am 0 for 2. as Soruceforge site has been down and Wampp download link seems broken.
