Need help testing script

    Hi everyone,
I have created a free autoresponder script. I also created the login script from scratch using php. I have been getting a lot of sign ups however, it seems that no one is using the autoresponder. They have not setup any emails or promoted their squeeze page. I had one user saying she could not login because it kept telling here the password was wrong. I changed the password for her and she stopped writing back so I don't know what happened.
Either way I need to know if this script is working right. It works fine for me but it may just be my browser. I thought since PHP is server side script that it should run fine for them if it does for me.
The link to the site is http://newone.zapto.org/superclass/index.php
I am not using cookies with the php login script just session. I wonder if that is causing problems. Anyways if anyone could check it I would be grateful.
    Thanks,
    Ann

Well, the login works. That being said... no. Just no. I'm guessing the reason you don't see any usage is because the interface is APPALLING. First of all, it looks like something from 10-15 years ago when it comes to styling. Second, the interface is bland, and confusing. Third - you get no email sent to you when signing up, with the information inside (bad). For someone who's not that into autoresponders, this is a confusing mess to work with - there are way too many textboxes, there are no help or information or even helptext, the labels on the forms are a bit confusing, and in general, the UX is outdated and clunky to use. Sorry to say, but you'll probably not see any usage at all before you update the looks to be at least 2010, and also provide some walkthroughs, explanaitions and "hand-holding" to get new users set up.

Thanks for giving it a try and being honest. I was thinking about creating walkthroughs because, I am sure it would be a little confusing for people just starting out using autoresponders. This was my test script to see how well or not well it would work. I am actually thinking about using the same concept but updating everything else. The database schema works well. I don't know why you didn't get an email when you signed up. I think others have had that problem because they never activate their account. That could be a problem with the email account I am using.
I completely agree that the design is old and bland. I am going to work on the entire thing starting with the design. Then I will post it here again. I am glad I joined this site. I have got so much out of it already. Again I do thank you for your honesty. It's like when you have some food stuck to your face and everyone let's you walk around like that without telling you. lol!

Yes, as I stated, no email - although I didn't check spam-folder - it might have ended up there. Important to know to set up your server with proper authentication, especially if you want to be able to reach Outlook or Gmail-contacts. As you say, the schema might work, and the site seems to be working - it just needs to be a bit more user-friendly.

Tobad you already took it offline, i realy wanted to take a look and give my opinion :p

btw when your users did not receive any emails, try contacting your host, i had the same problem and it was just a wrong setting in my hosting dashboard (email settings)....

Yea sorry about that. I was using my own computer as a server and just couldn't do it any longer. I am planning on setting it up again somewhere else and updating it. I will let you know when I am done so you can test it as well. I would like to eventually turn it into a script package then others could use it on their own website.
