Hi there, we have an automated system for photographers to build their own websites, I am trying to use Adwords to push more people through to our site, but I am unsure what I should be using.

We have some generic wording in there, but not gettung much traffic or searches at all.

Can someone make any suggestions for us please.

What's your website?

What exactly does it offer?

First of all to go straight to the sign up form you need to put this before the form;

(try your link, it doesn't work now).

For the keywords...

Well the obvious choices are "websites for photographers" , "sell photography", "selling photographs", "websites for photographers", "website for photographers".

Not the biggest traffic, with time maybe I could find more - regardless, it looks you don't have high enough demand.

Then at about the price you are charging I could get a year's hosting with a proper domain.

Even if you get traffic from Adwords I doubt you would have a lot of conversions because you haven't made your offer obvious on your site.

Why would you want to hide the benefits so far down the page.

You need a landing page that makes the visitor go "How can I get this product NOW?!". You must keep this excitement at the sign up form, it's a little bit dry right now.

The keywords are quite expensive too, if you are not experienced with Adwords you will end up paying a lot of money for nothing.

Maybe you could rethink your pricing options and the features of your membership packages to make them more effective.

Hi there, thanks for those comments, I have redone that page now, to try to make it more inviting to photographers to join.

The main part with the pricing is all the added features they get, like their own site, full sales system etc.

Check out the following for an example:
http://tatephotos.photosales.co.nz/ for an example using one of the sub-domains or
http://www.tonysmithphotography.co.nz/ using their own domain name

FlexiHost,

Let me be totally honest with you.

From a customers point of view it seems like you are trying to make some extra money rather than providing a useful service.

You have to ask yourself "What does my customer want? What could I do for him that will make him feel that he's made the best purchase of his life?"

Now, if you service doesn't really improve someone's life (from their point of view) then you don't have a service.

Now, as a photographer what are you offering me that I really want?

How am I sure that after I pay you $60 I will get at least $61 back?

Tell me loud and clear!

At this point all the important details are hidden. Why do I have to click on a link before finding out details?

Then after you have done all this you test and refine until you get it right.

Also when I click on the sign up button it doesn't take me to the form. You will have to make another anchor to the form.

Don't you try your links after you create them.

Until you fix all this stuff don't even try Adwords for this service - you will be bringing customers to a store that is under construction.

Summary:

Focus on what your customer wants -NOT what you want to give him

Let your customer know that you've got he wants and then...

Tell him how he can have it.
