Need help resolving Invalid Traffic - AdSense for Content

I have been an Adsense publisher for over ten years. Starting around my January, my invalid traffic levels began rising and have now reached around 75 percent. I have reviewed the relevant Adsense articles and have not been able to identify the problem. Needless to say, I do not click on my ads. Nothing about the ad implementation or content on my website has changed in many years. I'm looking for someone familiar with AdSense to help me resolve this. Thanks!

 

Looks more like rogue bot traffic. Some search engines care less how many times they crawl your site. Identify where the traffic comes from (IP addresses) and then block them one by one via .htaccess.

If you're using cPanel you can see where the traffic is from via Visitors (search "visitors" in cPanel).

 

Are you sharing links to your sites in social media?

 

Yes. I have a Facebook page and links on a pinned Tweet. Also I think my URL was in a Reddit post years ago. They generate only about 1 percent of my total traffic. I can easily get rid of them.

65 percent of my traffic is direct. 25 percent is Google/organic.

 

Thats ok. Too much social media traffic is notorious for providing low value to the advertiser = invalid activity

 

Are your ads displayed in a way that make visitors to click them by mistake ? For example, trying to close and ad that covers the content ?

 

Djust check if your settings are good or make a new site in case you have an old site
