If you have an opportunity to get a degree in the US and it will moreover make your folks happy just go for it. For the price range I would suggest a community college to start with. There are also plenty online courses that are less expensive and are still valuable. You could earn an appropriate certificate at Brainbench. Their corporate clients include numerous US companies, U.S. Government agencies, and several universities and colleges.

Find a nice online course at a reputable college and take the courses you are strong in and get certified and then do some example work to submit for a company.
