hey there guys..i need some help in reducing my adwords cost.i have done everything that i possibly can to improve my adwords the last 7 days. things i have done 1)currently running only one adgroup with about 20 keywords but all keywords are three word versions of the two word keyword example soccer ball - "stylish soccer balls","asian soccer balls","fifa soccer balls" my adcopy has the two phrase keyword in the ad title, ad description and also in the title tag and within the sales letter in the landing page. my site has a PR4 rating for the landing page,it has a privacy policy, contact us page, terms and condition page, and about 15 other pages as well of other complementary info. my click through rate is about 9.23%,average position is 2-4 and i have got a quality score of "Great" for all my keywords. currently my max cpc is $1.50 while i pay about $1.20 per click on average. how do i decrease the cost that i pay for my adwords?i want to bring it down to at least 80 cent per click while retaining my position and all.is that possible? for my quality score for each keyword, below the word Great,it is wirtten as minimum bid:$0.06 ..what does that mean? if i bring down my max cpc bid to lets say 1 dollar, will i lose my positioning? thanks fellas.
If your quality score is strong and CTR is high, then try to lower a bit the bids, and look if you are going down on positions. Then after, if you are paying less, but still maintaining high positions, try again to lower the costs until your reach the border when you start notice that you are losing your high positions. Minimum bid is the minimum amount of money that you have to pay for that keyword to make your ads appear, when user searches for that specific keyword.
Instead of running all keywords in 1 adgroup try break it up into different adgroups... Let the high performing keywords remain in same adgroup and the rest can be shifted to a new adgroup...
how does this help? u get analytics by keyword anyway. i'd see more sense in keeping all keywords in one group - easier to monitor everything on 1 page
This helps in content network targeting... if you have opted in for content network as well...and improving quaity score as Ads are highly targeted
i talked to the google adwords person, and they took a look at my account and said since all your keywords are already great quality score the only other control you have is on your cpc.you have to remember that your competitors ctr and max cpc plays a part too..so i checked the site at number one.it was a one page site with no privacy policy contact page or nothing.a spammy looking page. i was like yeah right..
