Need help re-sizeing a image using photoshop

    i have many large images, like 2 and 3 MB big but i need to resize them for a website.

    For example, my image size is, 1600X1200 but i need to shrink it to 531X421, i can easily do that but the picture with be streched one way. How can i cut a peace out of the picture with a certian size?

    Any suggestions?

    Right now im using Adobe Photoshop CS3....

    use croping then resizing should do it

    go into image => image size => set it to 531 x 421 and press okay. crop as needed with the crop tool

    open image with photoshop.

    1. Image
    2. canvas size
    3. put your dimension what you want and click OK
