    Hello everyone...

I didn't want to post this in the Advertising marketplace, because I just have a basic question first..

I want to start selling direct advertising on my Graphic Design / User Interface blog. But I do not know how much my advertising spots are worth? Can you guys please give me your input.

    Here is my site:

    1. I am going to be selling 4 "125 x 125px" ads on the right hand column immediately below the feedburner chicklet (2 columns and 2 rows of ads). I will expand the width of the column if necessary.

    2. I want to sell by monthly prices, because my blog is growing fast and need to be able to change rates quickly when ad subscriptions end.

    Information about my site:

    • The site averages around 500 Unique Visitors per day (Google Analytics used to determine this number)
    • The site accumulates over 44k pageviews/mo. at this point. Site is steadily growing.
    • The site is updated around 4-6 times per day on average with new content.

Basically, I don't know what amount I should ask for... I need to know how much I should initially price my ads at. Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you!

You could probably start with $4-6 each a month for sitewide on a PR3.
If you can't sell them right away you can always fill the spots with affiliate ads that your visitors might find helpful.

Yeah, that is what I had planned to do... I was hoping I could get more for my ads though. $4-$6 bucks doesn't seem worth the trouble. Yes, the site is a PR3 too, btw.

    Thanks for the info!

I would say about $15 per month at first then perhaps if you get a lot of interest put the prices up.

    Will.

You could charge anything between $10 and $15 for each ad. If you don't want to get into trouble with Google, you'd better not sell PR. Add a no-follow tag to the ads and make it clear to potential buyers that you are selling traffic and branding only.
