Well of course link exchanges with other school/student sites. maybe a lttle myspace (since lots of students) Join other student forums. Join certain university forums. Video take your self solving a crazy math question (That is fun to watch) upload on youtube, and stick your link at the beggining of the video. Cheers
You might want to post your site in other forums which relates to Education. Perhaps, join in Forum where the target students are there.
Joe do you want to do strictly online marketing? If you wouldn't mind a bit of offline marketing you could put together a package to be mailed to the state superintendent of schools for each state in the US. Since the no child left behind act isn't performing as a lot had hoped, schools are looking for methods to help increase learning. If you could get a superintendent or two to announce your services to the local schools in his or her state, you could get a massive amount of exposure and maybe even media attention.
