I don’t know what to make of this so I’ll try to explain the best I can. People have been complaining that they can’t accesses my blog and when they do, the main page is all messed up. First I thought that the problem was caused from using outdated browsers and win98. Then they informed me that the OS was XP with Firefox 1.5 and IE6, another said she used a MAC. I personally tested my blog with Firefox 1.5, Opera 9 and IE sp2 and never got one single error. One of the regular visitors actually was able to explain what he sees when he visits my blog. From his description he opens the URL www.amar-ela.com and immediately another site opens on top of it preventing him from seeing my blog. This sounds very strange but many regular visitors have also complained not being able to read my blog. He said something about a paraSITE “no pun intended†loading on top of my blog??? I’ve had complaints from people in Portugal, Brazil and US. Please would you visit the blog and tell me if this happens to you. Thanks for your help.
Safari on a mac. looks fine. Maybe your site has been hijacked or something. You may want to check with your hosting company.
Thanks one of the people complaining was using a Mac. I just want one person to confirm this then I’ll take some action. If someone hijacked my site wouldn’t it show to everyone why just to a few people?
I got this comment this morning "After clicking a few times on the refresh button I noticed that in fact a popup window does appear. " So I disabled popup blocker and off I went refreshing but didn’t see anything. I really don’t know what to do. The only services that I’ve installed are from Performancing, statcounter, adsense and Technorati. If anyone knows how to read Portuguese your more than welcome to see the comments people have been leaving me. “so that you don’t think this is a sad attempt to generate traffic to my blogâ€
Looking at the source, there appears to be code for a popup. Due to errors in the JS, I guess it's on very few browser versions that it will display.
Look at the source, starting from line 42. Make a backup copy of your index page and then try removing the JS. Although, I can't see where the function is being called. I'm at work though, so not much time to look around.
