Need help optimizing Adsense (multiple size ads, multiple placements, 1000+ hits/day)

I changed my ad placement very recently and have already come up with some interesting insights regarding which ad types/placements pay best for my site (dubstep-remixes.com), and which placements get the highest clicks, but I'm not sure how to optimize them based on the data. I've learned the following:

    - Top small leaderboard above index/archive/search results has highest CPC, but lowest CTR
    - In post block ad & small leaderboard underneath DL links get approx. same high CTR & very low CPC
    - Right sidebar large block gets very low CPC & very low CTR

I'm thinking of changing the inpost block ad to a small leaderboard in hopes of getting the same ads as the top small leaderboard and therefore increasing my CPC. The only problem I have with this is that the underneath DL links small leaderboard doesn't get those ads, so why would that one get them? It used to be a leaderboard, not a block, and they get approximately the same CTR.

I'm not quite sure what to do -- I have lots of traffic, but it only equates to ~$5 a day. I know I can do better. Based on this information, what would you Adsense masters out there do?

First, make sure the first adsense block in html is the one which gets the most CTR.

Then "Visit Our Sponsors" above the adsense block could get your site banned.
