Hello, Couple of months back I came across a website (which stupidly enough I forgot to bookmark and now I can't find it anymore) that had an online virtual assistant in the home page talking about the company and giving all sorts of info to web users. By online virtual assistant, I mean a animated person look-a-like programmed to do say say stuff to online users, I can say that the one assistant I saw was a pretty darn good looking chick.... back to the topic, I noticed that its features (the assistant's) were limited to only saying the same stuff if not different onPage Refresh when somebody went to a particular page, I believe the content of what they're saying is not database driven, but I could be wrong. Is there such a software package designed to be added-on to websites where "virtual assistants" can be instructed to say certain things or guide users to particular pages? All input is really appreciated, Thank you all in advance. Alex.
get out your video camera and record a girlfriend or wife or even a friend reciting whatever is that you need said and then have someone edit the video and extract her from the background or something and convert it flash or flv formats (assuming that flv isn't a flash format i do not know as im not in the video production field) and upload it. not quite sure though you may want something a bit more "virtual" but this is just one route that you could take if you're interested.
that would be the basic way, I already thought of that. what I was thinking is having one of these assistants say things uploaded in a content database in the back-end of a website, or oven guide people by pointing at menus and so forth....meh
