We have started 2 websites that are community-based, meaning that membership is free, but registration is required. One is a webmaster/web hosting site (www.webhostingusers.com) that provides many articles and tutorials on webmaster topics and web hosting topics. It contains a web hosting directory and allows members to rate their web hosts. It is not one of the gazillion affiliate-based web hosting review sites. We are looking for the best ways to entice webmasters to rate their web hosts. We have tried google ads and contests in the past with limited results. Please give us your thoughts. Similarly, we have a software/scripts directory (www.supersourcecode.com) that allows members to rate the scripts they use. Both sites have forums and we are currently offering free advertising in return for forum posts to get the forums going. Thanks in advance for your advice!
