Hi, is there any provision in PrestaShop to direct " Product description " to an external link ? I will make it clear. Suppose someone clicks on a product LG MicroWave Oven, he should be redirected to the product page on LG. Can we do the same with products of our choice ? Can we change the destination URL of product description ? Is there any other software which has this option ? Please help.

No. In theory you can hyperlink the description or part of it but that is a terrible idea in the first place. That will entirely kill on site SEO and frankly makes no sense in the first place.

Are you trying to dropship stuff or something? I can't imagine why you would want to do this.

Thanks for the reply @Nigel Lew

The main reason I thought of this is whether Google will treat the product description as copy paste stuff.

You should simply rewrite them a bit so they are unique. Routing descriptions off site makes that problem twice as bad but I sorta follow your logic.

Yep, understood. Does adding product page link cause SEO drawbacks ? I was under the impression that mentioning source adds value to the site in terms of SEO.

If it is your intention to sell things you never link off the site for any reason unless its on a blog section. You always want to keep visitors in your own site flow.
