Hello i have hired someone to do my website and now that i want to change something on it the guy is nowhere to be found. I would rather do it myself this time then hire someone.So i use host gator and was wondering how can i access my website so i can add/edit pictures i cant seem to find the tool for this

Then you need to contact hostgator. You should have received an email with login-information when you set up Wordpress. BEsides, your email isn't the username, usually the username is admin - also check the "forgto password"link on the login page.

Go to the "appearance" click on Themes & then click on customize, you will find the option of image.

 

cant seem to find image
