I am not that much into Adsense any longer, but here is some advise. I read it in some book a while ago:

    1. You need traffic to earn from adsense, a few hundred visitors a day won't generate much income. You need a few thousand visitors, if possible - a few tens of thousands of visitors to generate a good income.

    2. Your adsense ads should blend into the color scheme of your website.

    3. Visitors are more likely to click ads to the right side of a page and to the top.

Whether this is true, I can't confirm 100%, but I found on a recent project of mine that my adsense did increase for a while.

The best advise for you is to play around. Move your ads around, play with color schemes until you notice some increase in clicks.
