need help on creating a script or tool

    Hi guys,

    I was gonna create an seo tool to get
    - my ranking on search engines (google, yahoo, alexa, bing and etc)
    - page rank
    - backlinks
    and etc.

    Can you share some ideas here guys? I was looking for APIs but
    I can't find the right resources. Need help guys. Thanks in advance

    Only Yahoo has an API (perhaps Bing too?). For all the rest, you need to scrape.

    If you're gonna scrape checkout the Ruby library Scrubyt. It makes scraping sites cake work provided they don't try to obfuscate their HTML output like some sites are fond of doing.
