Need help on choosing a host.

My website is real busy, with more than 100 concurrent users at one time, and 50,000+ pageviews a day. Every host i go to for shared hosting cuts my hosting plan at the end of every month because my site carries so much traffic. Are there any host that will carry my site on shared hosting?

I have 10 days to find another shared host before my hostgator account is suspended.

The busiest part of my site is the forum so i thought i post in here. The kind of forum i use is the most updated version of invisionpower board

*The host i have used so far are hostgator.com and invisionpower.com*

    Have you thought of upgrading?

I'm sure your members would pitch in...

Otherwise, I think you'll continue to get bumped.

Are you monetizing the forum? That should help pay for the hosting...

When he meant johncompanies.com he meant get a VPS from a website. He used johncompanies.com as an example like he meant get a VPS from xxxxxxx.com :). You could do a search around here or webhostingtalk.com for a server. You can get servers cheaper than $200 a month, maybe look into a VPS for around $50.

Dedicated would be too much I think you should go for vps hosting. You will have dedicated resources with the vps and also the price would be comparatively less than the dedicated server.

If bandwidth is the difficulty, my host offers 3000gb for only $6, and has been very reliable (and yes, its shared). But i don't know about how forums hold up on it. Link's in my sig

If you use 20% of 3000 GB every month, you wont be there for more than 2 months.

Hostgator is by far the best hosting you can get ... you can go to other sites that promise around 3000GB, however, they will just cut you off in the end. Hostgator uses the planet datacenter, which is far superior than any other datacenter that you can get for shared hosting.

The problem you have is that you are probably using too much system resources, as in you are using 20 percent of the cpu. If you move to another host, you will probably be using even more than 20 percent and get cut off. It is best to just upgrade

I think you should go for a VPS. Maybe servint.net. If you can spend $49 a month and use only 300GB they are good. (excess bandwith are $1 per GB), very expensive. I left them because of their greed hehe, but if you are fine with what they offer they are good, good servers, good support.

    Greets,

I have used a company based out of Florida called SurpassHosting.com Check them out, they are very affordable and reliable. Here (http://www.surpasshosting.com/content/dedicated/single/sp1.php) is a link to one of their dedicated server deals; only $55 a month.

    Take care!
