    Hi

What would be the best way to sell your ad space on your site if you have 13k monthly visitors to your site or should i offer free advertise?

    Thanks

List your site on sites that sell adspaces.

    1. http://buysellads.com/
    2. www.adbrite.com

Or you can use this plugin that tells
people that you offer adspaces for sale:

    www.oiopublisher.com

I've seen lots of big affiliate marketers
use this plugin on their blog. I've been
one of their adspace buyers and that plugin
    is easy to use.

I even receive a weekly report automatically
    about my ad's performance.

i would personally offer free advertising for a while just to get people in - then you can try charging them after giving a free initial trial period

If you know the demographics of your site visitors, why don't you monetize it yourself. Choose a few CPA offers and rotate them. See which one works best.

Yeah. Advertising your available ad space on ad networks is a good shout.

Start with a low asking price to get your first couple of sales then slowly rise the price as your site grows.

    You should try:

OIO Publisher is a good choice, there is also OpenX and Google DFP (both free).
I would also create a Rate Card that you can send potential advertisers detailing your ad sizes, locations, geo targeting, CPM, etc.

Sometimes we negotiate a trial period where the advertiser can run their ads for a certain number of impressions at a reduced rate (this is when we deal directly with the advertiser).
Other times ad brokers will seek us out because they need to get their client more impressions in which case there isn't much to negotiate and they will pay your rate card rate.

With Google DFP you can automatically fill your unused advertising space with AdSense (not sure about OIO or OpenX).
Also, a lot of advertisers will only advertise to your US and Canada visitors so keep that in mind when you figure your available impressions.
