need help on a proxy website

Hi all

I have this proxy website
http://surfproxy.us

need help to improve my traffic

I am getting aboput 50/80 visitors a day

what should I do to improve my visitors
I did submite in many directoires, proxy top sites, etc

I also added some other features such as online sudoku and many news feeds
to make the proxy website a little diffirent from others

what else should I do????

 

You could post your proxy in Yahoo/Google Groups, there are some out there that anyone can post in and they have a lot of users. You could also pay for advertising in the BST section here at DP.

 

Yahoo Groups are pretty good. They get tons of targeted traffic.

 

1st thing, you maye wish to recheck the codings because it seems there's a mess above the surf bar after you added ads.

promote on social networks, yahoo answers, and google/yahoo groups

 

Submit it to topsite

 

In my opinion, topsites are not worth anything.

I did however subnmited on google group, but didn submited on Yahoo group

I just join some yahoo groups and will post and hope to get some visitors attraction

word of mouth !!
I got some my proxies popular by telling one of the kids at my local schools and they told all their mates, loads of traffic !!

Also put ads on the proxied pages !

 

I thought its againts the TOS to put ads on proxified pages

can some1 pls. clerify me that

ads other than YPN, Adsense are fine on proxified pages
so you might want to look into adbrite to put on proxifeid pages

and I wouldnt really recomand topsites.
1. its like enlisting your site as a proxy (proxy needs disguise, word of mouth and is fine but to enlist is get blocked isnt worth it)
2. most top sites contain "proxy" word and you need proxy to access from schools

 

submit it to a ton of directories... that helped mine

 

dont submit to topsites ( specially topsites with the word proxy in the url)
promote in google and yahoo groups
there is no rule that 1000 visitors will make you $5 . 10 visitors can make $5 and 1000 visitors can make $.5
If you have friends in schools/college tell them. Word of mouth is very powerful.
you have to work on marketing the site everyday ! specially on week days. tuesdays and wednesday usually have most traffic. so start promoting really hard on monday and tuesday.
