Hi to all, I am having problem on my PC. It shuts off after a minute or less after powering it on. Suspecting power supply failure to deliver enough supply, I disconnected all the Plug and Play peripherals including the hard disk, but problem remains the the same. I am suspecting motherboard this time. Please help. Any advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I don't think it a virus because I already disconnected the hard disk and if it reside in the BIOS or memory, it will be removed as well when you turn the PC off.
Hmm. I would suspect the power supply unit before I reached for a new motherboard myself. Power units tend to go first.
Okay, it's something with your motherboard. In case like this you should go to service center to get the best diagnose of your PC problem. I'm so sure it's about motherboard.
Thanks, I am already dismantling the other power supply to be installed. Hope this will work. Thanks, but I know something about hardware and how to dismantle it. I also suspected it is the motherboard. If this will not work after replacing the power supply, then another PC is down again. Thanks a lot for both of you.
You're welcome, rodlip. Btw, please don't forget to post here when you already solve the problem. I need to know what exactly happened. I love learning. Take care, mate. Wish you luck!
