Hi, I'm new comer in SEO world. so when i decide build a web i do some SEO. seo i done: search engine submitter, article submit (only one) not @ezine build youtube video. but the result scares me, my web position no 8 from 8mill for keyword "free mafia wars" my everything i had not make sense for 1st page in google. my domain only 15 days old my page rank 0 my backlink only 1 or 2 alexa do not have my data my unique visitor only 20-40 per day. so my question is, should i build other seo done (backlink, article, etc) or not? i afraid if i do anything else my position will drop (since i think my no #8 result is google error) and how can i monetize this result to increase my revenue? btw my blog is freemafiawarstips.com you could just check on google for keywords free mafia wars the prove screen shot just write /result.jpg from my blog (i do not have privilege to link in DP)
Hi Robopop, The first thing to say is that your domain name has that keyword phrase in it which is not the case for the variety of other listings which I looked through. If its in your domain name it counts alot. Secondly, new sites tend to rank highly very quickly. That lasts for a few weeks and then suddenly the site often disappears from listings for a few months before appearing again but listed much lower in the rankings. Don;t get too excited yet! Finally, is "free mafia wars" in that order is not a highly searched phrase so most of these other sites will not have optimised for that phrase. Cheers, Sam
From what i see you actually rank #13 for the keyword free mafia wars but this is still good enough. What you need to understand is that 1. Google doesn't make errors and 2. Even if it did, there is no way that your rank would hold for a long time if it was a result of an error Google made. On top of that, there is no way that continuing your SEO work can harm your rankings. It happens sometimes that a new blog jumps to a high position in a very short time but it is almost always the case that it will drop to a position that makes more sense soon enough. I would bet that, whatever you do, your ranking will drop in the next few days and the only way to correct that for future rankings is to continue doing SEO work on it. As for monetizing, there are many ways to go about it and I'm sure that if you search the forum a little bit you will find a few.
@samwinport yes, the free mafia wars not highly search, my seo works is for mafia wars cheats which did not have good result. and yes i really excited from the result that why i ask in this forum since i though it was a mistake, thank for the information. @djromanof well just in a few minutes its drop from #8 to #13 lol, i guest i just keep up my seo works done since the result just temporary btw thank for all your response, i will continue my seo works =)
