Hey Everyone, I found a niche and I got one of those themes to list local businesses. They can choose free membership or paid. I already have a database of all the business I want to add. I plan to add their listing and send them an email to claim the listing. I was wondering if anyone has tips on how to market this site. How to get more businesses to subscribe. there is the ability to review listings. Any tips on getting reviews? And ofcourse how to get visitors ? Has anyone had sucess with this type on site? I have a feeling that there are always a certain amount of businesses that will sign up and pay for anything. they have the money and they want to market.
I would target facebook for reviews. Facebook has a very nice search tool that allows you to really drill down a targeted local audience. You can target by location and type of business. That should be pretty effective.
