Hello DP, I recently set up an online web store using Magento E commerce for my companies website, after it being up several months the traffic increased slightly but I am curious to what else i could do to market my website and attract people to become customers and purchase my products. I have to say seo is necessary. You can bulid links by writing blogs. Try to submit some articles to some website like goarticle.com. Or if you want get traffic, you can try email marketing. I am using email marketing now, and email brings 200+ traffic every day. Quite impressive to me! Hope to help you and your site!
well the company is in a niche market, which is medical orientated eg first aid kits , bandages etc so im not sure how i go about doing this

Set yourself a realistic budget. You don't have to be rich to market your website and start playing around with how to get traffic to your website. I would recommend that you begin reading about SEO and keyword research. Sounds like you have a niche you are already in, but start looking for those keywords that people are searching on in your niche that are related to your website and begin your SEO work there. A big portion of internet marketing and particularly SEO is link building. I say you need a budget because generally you're going to want to invest a little bit of money into the link building process. If you are unfamiliar with any terms here, don't hesitate to ask, but there are several resources online to help you with what they mean and how to achieve them.
I would look into SEO companies. There are many really good ones that can get you results for a few hundred dollars.
