Need HELP - LOST 1,400+ with MaxBounty.com

Hey guys, It has been like 5-6 months, I was doing some affiliate promotion for MaxBounty, specially CPA leads. Now first 4-5 months wasn't good. I was making 400-500$ a month. Just recently I hit up with an idea with Incentive offers and i executed my plan and made 800+ within 3 days. NOTHING ILLEGAL OR BLACKHAT. It was INCENTIVE OFFER, today I check my mail and i get email from MaxBounty that i am banned for spamming my affiliate link in forums. Even though I did not spam in forums and the method had nothing to do with forums.
Can someone tell me what I should do now?

You could ask for some proof as to where your links have been submitted. It could have been someone else maybe trying to get your banned, but I doubt that very much. I guess all you can do is ask for the places that the links where found and then go from there.

Mmmm I am surprised the incentive offers were allowed, some I have worked with (from another affiliate site) would have an "allowed" or "not allowed" incentive note.

Was the incentive offer done through a forum or numerous forums ? Maybe one of the advertisers has found the incentive offers (from you) somewhere and reported it to Maxbounty.

Well incentive traffic is always hitting that thin red line. You are basically forcing people to join something. People join because they want the incentive and have no interest whatsoever in the offer. So I think incentive stuff is basically not perfect right from the beginning. And this is another reason why the majority of people who get banned from affiliate networks are incentive publishers.

Thanks for the replies. But someone spammed my affiliate link in DP and few other webmaster forums. And now I have no idea how to get my 1k+

Maybe you should politely try to write an email about this to em and explain em that anyone can get any one banned by doing this which is not a right thing. Maybe this will work out else its purely upto em to pay or not to pay.

I think you better explain your situation to your maxbounty affiliate manager and ask them for proof. Try to seek help from them.

Your money is gone for good, usually its the advertiser who discovers the spammed link first, this probably comes down from maxbounty's client for sure. And they are not going to pay maxbounty for those sales/leads, then in turn you'll never get your money either.

Yeah, when it comes to issues concerning money, emailing isn't sufficient. Definitely need to get them on the phone. It will make you appear more legit, and you'll get an idea of how legit they are.

    Hello everyone,

I want to make it perfectly clear that MaxBounty does not terminate its publishers on a whim. There is absolutely no justifiable business case for a network to remove publishers who abide by the terms and conditions which they agreed to when they signed up with us (i.e. they do not cheat). A large base of happy long-term publishers is essential to the success of a network, so the thought that a network randomly boots publishers is absurd.

Contrary to what he wrote above, ErnestHemingway used his "incentive method" to promote a campaign that clearly did NOT allow incentives. Typically, incentive publishers do not have access to non-incentivizable campaigns in our network to prevent this from happening, but he indicated to us in his profile that he did not use incentives.

So he misled us with his profile to have access to a campaign that had a better payout rate (as it did not allow incentives). This is deceptive and fraudulent, and as such his account was terminated.

Feel free to contact me should you have any questions.

They are a great affiliate network. You most likely cheated.

This is a good example why it is worth having a relationship established with your affiliate manager if you do any fair amount of business with them. It is always nice to be able to email or pick up the phone and get the help you need.

Steven is of course absolutely right in what he says...

Affiliates/publishers are the life-blood of any network and we do not undertake expensive recruitment PR/marketing/advertising just to throw them out or terminate accounts when they start earning!

It doesn't make sense unless the network believes (with evidence) that significant fraudulent activity is taking place.

Ah, seems that you ran incentives on a non incentive offer Earny. Hopefully you didn't invest money into this, just time.

I have a question about affiliates. Sorry for being such a complete newb here...

I own a website. All I have is Google Adsense and it does ok for me. I range about 6,000 - 22,000 unique visitors per month. (As low as 6,000 in the Spring and well into the 20K in Autumn.) We do at least 8 million hits a month, it will probbaly hit a new record of over 10 million this month.

I want to get paid more on ad/banner/affiliate space. Would MaxBounty or ProfitStick be good for me? If so, what do I need to do to get started.

Please PM me if you can help me!!!
