    1. Check for malicious scripts within your blog. Malicious scripts usually use something called “obfuscation” to befuddle anti-virus programs and cause them to pass over large clusters of gibberish. I have seen some blog themes with scads of malicious code written into the theme files (usually the footer.php files). Obfuscation scripts may look something similar to this:

Another type of malicious script may look more innocent. This one is a good example, notice the spelling error:

Now, you may have dozens of files, all filled with code, to sift through. Or, the code may be very well hidden or invisible within your files. There are a few shortcuts here:

a.) Use Sucuri to scan your blog. Sucuri is free (but they sure deserve a donation!). All you have to do in insert your blog url and Sucuri will scan your blog’s source code for malicious scripts.

b.) Sign in to Google and use Google’s WebMaster Tools for scanning your site and getting help.

c.) Visit the WordPress.org forums and search around. There are many, many experienced WordPress users who can take a look at your site or teach you how to look at your own.

    2. Check your .htaccess file. Many web servers use the htaccess file to manage web directories and settings. I use my htaccess file to prevent anyone from reading my directory files, and to prevent scrapers from hotlinking my blog images. The htaccess file (found in the public_html directory) is a powerful tool, which explains why hackers like to use it. A hacker would most likely use the htaccess file to redirect your blog readers to another website. Here’s an example of an htaccess file that contains such a redirect.

a.) Open the htaccess file and take a peek. Be careful not to alter any data! If you mess up the file or delete the wrong code, you could mess up your blog. Check for the “RewriteRule” code, and check the IP number.

b.) You can go to Reverse IP Lookup and type in the IP number, to see a list of all websites on that server (if the IP number is not spoofed or concealed behind other servers).

c.) Contact your web host company with the information in your htaccess file. They have the means to fix your htaccess file and investigate the IP number and web host of that website.

    3. Look for hidden iframe script. You may not know it, but perhaps a plugin or widget you’ve installed contains malicious iframe script. An iframe is basically a frame that displays content from another website onto your blog. You probably use iframes already– perhaps a Flickr plugin or animated blogroll.

Iframe code is easily hidden. Notice the “0″ values for height and etc in the example below. This makes the script invisible to your readers, but still injects malicious content.

a.) To detect malicious iframes, you need to scan your blog with an online scanner or plugin that will detect the malicious script. Use Sucuri to scan your blog or contact your web host company to help you locate the script. Or you can use a WordPress plugin to scan your blog. I use Donncha O Caoimh’s Exploit Scanner. Donncha is a reputable WordPress plugin developer, working for Automattic.

    Here are some solution:
    Remove unused themes and plugin
    Install new scripts and themes
    Change all passwords
    Update WordPress
    Watch permissions on your site
    Check your webhost
    Use strong Passwords
    Protect Your Wp-config File
    Security plugin
    Hide things

I too had this problem in my wordpress blogs. Then I installed latest antivirus in my PC and removed all viruses, then the problem is solved.

Hi mate - it's worth phoning up your web host and asking them what's happening. They will quickly tell you if it's a compromised site as they are obviously keen to identify this!

If you use one of the big hosts who offer 24/7 support this should be easy: I have found Hostgator and Bluehost, for example, top notch on support. And you can Skype them so it costs little or nothing.

    Hope you sort it!

    :)

Check your hard drive, you prob have some malware. Do a scan and clean it up. Your wordpress would do it all the time if that was the problem.

I had same problem (sporadic WP redirections from my home page to some site) and solved it by finding code that do this, this is some of the plugins you activated (probably premium plugin you downloaded for free). I can fix this for a small fee (requires a long search thru files sometimes)...
