I don't see any problem in your site. Ad placements is good.

I think for such Niche, you will see a low CTR.

blend adsense units with content instead of having them on the side panel. the niche you hv may not give you a high CTR , which means that you ll hv to make the most of you traffic by positioning ads which are not intrusive and dont look more like ads..remember users dont like to click on ads

Add one of these red baneer at the top right before the ads and put "Sponsored links" inside for example, right after "Google translate". Currently that red baneer after the ads draws the eyes out of the ads immediatly.

And I only see two ads unit, add a third one (one of these 468*60 ad unit) in the middle of the content, like after the 4th article or so.

As for the posts pages, add a 468*60 baneer right after the content and right before the "Bookmark" link.

(hmmm at first I didn't even see the one at the bottom of the page, after the comments ! that's bad :) if I don't see it, a visitor will not ;))

It is clear that you'll get a low CTR on the ads that are really after the posts.
You need to "catch" the eyes of the user when he's done with the article.
If he eyes drop on things he does not want to see (such as comments or links or anything), he will hit the "Back" button and you'll loose an impression.

This is $0.5 per click = not bad. You just have to get more clicks :)

Actually, I like your add positioning. And at the very end of the article as we are thirsty for more info you have an ad block which offers more links to click. A very natural progression.
