Need Help in Internal Linking

Today, I got something new when browsing one site.
I saw that internal link is displayed in different format.

For example, I put <a href="http://www.demo-site.com/internal-link.html"> internal link</a> but on other website where <a href="/internal-link.html"> internal link</a> this code is used.
Can anyone please suggest which should i choose?

When it comes to internal linking its important to be specific and related. It is also used in targeting audience into more interesting features from the site.

 

I agree with connectmikesmith, the output is the same. However, using the second option might give you problems in the future in case you'll do some updates or changes on your site.

 

Both absolute and relative links are fine with SEO. Relative links are easier for website maintenance and migrate.

 

It probably was displayed that way because the website automatically modified the link entered. Keep entering web addresses as you usually do. Now, can it impact seo? Yes. On your own sites look for a plugin that changes these to the full url.

 

In my thinking the impact is same. In other sense you can say First one has minor priority due to web name....

 

Impact of backlink remain same with any Hyperlink code, actually its the matter of no-follow or do-follow

 

For best results, dont use automation if you do not need it. Auto links means less control. If you have 10,000 pages,
then you may have to use some plugin, however, in all honesty, how many sites have that much content that is useful or legit?
mind you, I am not talking about mega sites like amazon, walmart. I am simply talking about avg you and me sites....
otherwise, for best results, do your internal linking manually, this way, you control everything....

Lets say you sell BMW dirt bikes...for internal linking, you may have pages related to BMK dirt bikes; ie: BMW Dirt
Bike parts, BMW Dirt Bike Articles; You also want to include external link sources to authority sites in order to
show google that you are not being a pig...ie: BMW Dirt Bike Magazine, BMW Dirt Bike 2016 (whatever sources they maybe....)
(and as you can see, every page can support another page, and everything is related to BMW Dirt Bikes....)
