hi to all i am struggling to install wordpress manually in home directory of my hosting account....... i am new to ix webhosting where i get this problem. Can anyone guide me to solve this problem Hoping for a good response from you guys Thanks
You would need to do the following: 1. create the mysql database first in your phpmyadmin or whatever cp you use to manage mysql 2. download latest wordpress version from wordpress.org and upload to your hosting 3. change the name of wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php 4. edit the wp-config.php and enter your mysql database details 5. upload wp-config.php to your host 6. if you have done the above steps correctly you will be able to go to www.yourdomain.com and a wordpress page will appear asking you if you want to set up wordpress, if this appears just fill in the details and you are all set. If you go to www.yourdomain.com and you see a database error or any error at all, then your mysql details in wp-config.php are not correct. If you have a good web host, they will usually install wordpress for you for free as it takes them around 20 seconds. If your host does not do it, find another host.
usually cpanel hosting is better as they make it so easy to install not even having to worry about the config file
