What would be the best way to get all the New Years Party type ins to my site other than Adwords?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Ship me 20 botles of good beer. And I'll be spending the full New Year night on your site.

Create a myspace profile for the night club, and using a friend adder, go to the browse page and select the age range and zip code options that apply to your target audience, this will display a list of people of that age and in the area. Add them all. They will hopefully visit your myspace profile (make sure you put up a banner or something about the party). Also post bulletins, send out event invites, etc... phew.

I thought those friend adders don't work anymore because of that number code thing they added on every add?

Create a facebook group for your New Years Eve party and invite all of your friends to join, this will ripple out through the community :)

Its just as easy to sign up but the viral effect is even better.

When you participate everyone in your frieds list is notified of it. So in your case when you had the event or group all your friends will be told that you did it, and if they sign up their friends will be told etc etc.

    Hope this helps :)

But won't it take time to build the network of friends?
Thanks for your help, just a littl confused still.

You have to enter a captcha maybe once every 25 profiles. It's annoying but not insurmountable.

Best thing to do when promoting a nightclub party. I have done nightclub promotions in the past and Myspace, Facebook, and Craigslist for internet. The make sure the local press spots are notified to put it in their event listings and last but not least hit the streets with about 1,000-2,500 flyers and have someone hand them out at a mall or somewhere you know your target crowd hangs out. I have found that facebook does work the best tho.

    Hi buddy.

What you need to do is something like what another poster recommended for craigslist and gumtree also for the location and surrounding locations.

Create as many ads as you can... As a girl with a nice pretty name..
Make out that you'll be there , you heard of the party and hope to meet some nice guys there too.
You can mention details of the party but you could ask them to email for more details.
Setup a Google mail account , Fill your party details in the "out of office" notice.. turn on the "Out of Office"...

If anything , you can suck in over 300 mail addresses and email them back closer the time with a discounted offer ( you need to mention this in the first reply so they can opt out..)

Now this is a little "bold" and Im certainly not promoting spam .......But up to you.....

    (x) Create a myspace account for your event and hire a local kid off of craigslist and pay him per local friend added

    (x) Find relevant myspace pages for your area and ask if you can pay them to send out myspace bulletins about your event through their myspace account

    (x) Contact all local media music/events section and let them know about your event and ask to be added to their calendar.

    (x) Add posts on craigslist under multiple categories: Events, Local News, Wanted (help promoting new years event)

    (x) Contact all local websites that rank high for music and events and ask to be listed on their site

    (x) Find as many local event calendar, offline and on and get your event listed

Important to utilize local classifieds as well. Such as community portals, it is amazing the amount of hits you will get.

You're going to have to hit the pavement for this one, I don't really think its something you will be able to promote online with much effectiveness - unless maybe if you are rocking social networks.
