    Hi,
I want to build a website. I see many sites offering domain registration, I dont want to invest much but the price is not problem.
my problem is I don't have any Idea of making/registering web sites. I have blogs as you can see in my signeture but I don't know how this coustom domains works. Is it as simple as blogs or I have to do some thing else.

I have no problem with scripts/html but I dont know the process how it works.

    please help me.

Just purchase a hosting with a domain from any of the hosting companies, preferably one with Fantastico or Installatron, installing Wordpress or other Blogs will be just a click and a breeze. If you are unsure, try getting a free hosting with maybe cpanel and fantastico, practice on it before signing up for any of the hosting packages with domains.

Purchase domain and hosting from the same hosting company, You won't need to do anything other than uploading the website using the FTP. If any questions, you can always ask to hosting support. Many hosting companies now support free domain registration if you purchase the hosting plan from them. For example, accuwebhosting.com, rackspider.com, stpwebhosting.com etc.

Here's a little tip when you are buying your first domain --- Google the word "coupon" beside the Registrar you are going with. For instance GoDaddy always has coupons for their domain names--I never buy anything at full price anymore. Also HostGator is good for hosting---and they also have special coupons. ;-)

I'd suggest going with hostgator if you're a first timer. They're very user friendly and their live support should help you get through it without hassle.

I would go with either godaddy or hostmonster. With hostmonster, your domain is automatically set to work right away and you can very quickly install a wordpress blog (or other software) then you'll feel right at home :) Godaddy has cheaper domain prices but all you have to do is change the NAMESERVERS to that of your hosting company and you're good to go.
