Need help getting website active - Should be simple but im a noob

Hello,
I just bought my new domain and I changed the name servers over to the hosts name servers (I am using downtownhost.com) and then went into the cpanel and added it to my addon domains.

It has now been two days and still nothing.

Am I doing something wrong?

Okay I got the name servers right i contacted my host. It will only show up on Internet Explorer and not safari and firefox on my GF's computer. What is the usual problem causing this?

 

I can see the site without problems I'm using FF 3.0

I just upgraded to FF3.0 and still no luck. I just changed the name servers less than 5 hours ago.

Would that be a cause for it not to show on some browsers or maybe it is something specific to this computer?

It's working fine for me. DNS looks fine so it's probably a DNS propagation issue. Just want 24 - 72 hours and it should be working fine.

 

Actually it takes 48 hours for propagation...But in most cases , early it happens

 

it should propagate in 48 hours or less most within a few hours.

if not, you can do a tracert angelahicks.net in your command prompt and see where it breaks. if it does, you can send your IP address to your host, they might be blocking your ip.

 

Maybe you need to use a different browser then. I face a similar problem when I try to see my new blog on Google Chrome.
