Need help getting site on first page ...what to do??

Before you do anything take this advice:

See all your competition's pages and build a page which is better than theirs and offers website visitors a better experience.

If your site is not better than your competition, there is not point to waste time on SEO crap because the search engines like what visitors like for the most part.

 

u must submit ur site in 100 up search engine , nd 100 up social bookmark,nd google yahoo ,msn bussines submission ,froum posting, blog comment, blog posting etc

Start small and target the long tail keywords.

 

does anybody have a list of forums and places i can get good backlinks from??does the site have to do with my niche

Hi

You want to work out what keywords you want and then get those keywords in links back to your site. If you look at most peoples signitures you'll see that they have links back to their site and the words of these links will be the keywords they want to rank high for. You'll see mine are rakeback, Full tilt poker rakeback and so on.

Although there are other things you should do, this is the first step i would take to getting to that first page on google. Good luck

P.S. Don't forget to make your site look as good as possible, you want to make it a place where people will want to spend a period of time. Try to use pale colours, nothing too in your face. If i go to a site that has got too much going on, I just leave, even if i'm interested in what they are saying/selling
