Does anyone have any tips or tricks in how to get articles featured on Digg? The problem I've discovered after testing it for more than 2 weeks, is that the submission dies too quickly before enough people can view it and Digg it up. There must be a way to take care of this problem somehow, any suggestions?
i plaied around with dig a while - I got an article to hit the front page. It wasn't that great. I got a ton of useless traffic!! it didn't do anything but eat up bandwidth
The traffic is typically only good for building up back links.... Best way to get your digg to the front page is find or make up a story that people will want to share then make a bunch of digg "friends" and get them to digg your stories.
Get many mutual friends on Digg. Over 100 is good. Then just ask them to digg your article. They will. And don't forget to digg your friends articles too!
get top diggers as your friends, submit 2-5 articles from different blogs daily. submit 1 pages for every 3 days. Use CPM ads. Thats all.
I know a company that for $500, claims that they have a 66% chance of getting your article to the front page. They guarantee 200 digg's, and at least 1,000 hits as a minimum...if you don't get to the first page. Of course, if you get there, you'll get a lot more. I've still never used their service - I only found them this week, so I can't vouch for them...but if you're interested send me a PM and I'll send you the company info.
digg link is a java enabled it wont be so useful for link score, but digg pages rank well so u have the chance to rank well with your article, even with noone visiting your digg page, but if it has to many competition then of course its harder
Geta lot of active friends and work with them. If I were you I'm not going to focus on getting traffic from digg because theya ren't the oe taht really converts. Focus on search engine traffic.
Exactly. You can get a sudden surge in traffic and bandwidth exhausted but what about the utility of the digg traffic? It is simply useless and crap because it is not targeted...
Conversion rate isn't very good from Digg traffic, but it is good for link building. All the sites that make it to the front page of Digg get talked about and linked to by hundreds and hundreds of sites and blogs.
I'm sorry, but people discussing tactics on here make me laugh. Become a normal active member of digg, and don't abuse it. You'll get legtimate mutual friends, not ones you add just because, and through them your submissions will grow.
As soon as you will get maximum no. of diggs in lesser time and will reach to popular section of the category. The article gets featured on digg.
DIGG does index your articles quickly onto Google. Before writing your next article, go onto DIGG and check out your competing articles. How many of them have the same boring titles? If you were the reader, which one of the following titles would you choose? How to save on gas money Ways to save on gas money Gas money to be saved How I saved $2 on gas money Keep Your Car from Sucking Gas Money Out of Your Wallet Every Weekend The Title/Headline is the biggest determining factor of whether or not your article will be read. So make it stand out from the crowd.
Have more and more mutual friends on digg.. If you get your site dugged by someone who is not your mutual friend you will be better off. Like the others said digg is good for only building backlinks as you will be linked by many sites. Digg does not lead to much adsense revenue because majority of digg users are tech savvy and are programmed to skip ads naturally.
Just use digg as it says on the website. Use it as a community and make friends on it by not just adding them but sending a message or two back and forth. Once you have at least 100 ask them to digg important articles you put up and they will digg yours if you also digg theres when they need it. I have placed 3 articles on the front page, one of mine and two of my clients. The traffic was pretty much pretty crappy but luckily all my websites are monetized with CPM so I know I will get paid on all traffic.
Digg traffic isn't very good. Thay are mostly only lurkers who eats your bandwith. But as said above. Google indexes digg articles fast. Use Digg to that.
