I’m a database manager in a company. My gf asked me create a website for her. Web design is something I don’t know but she thinks I’m an expert in computer field and it’s an easy job for me. I can’t let me be down! I’m just looking around the web for some presets. Can you help me?

Yeah, I would suggest either finding a website you can pay to use a nice interface, or learn how to install scripts, because designing from the ground up would be a huge smack in the face for you, even when you deal with computers. So I would agree with some of the people above. Some cheap resources I use, so you know... dynadot dot com (for domain registration), hostgator dot com for hosting... it's cheap and you can use the hosting for other things and other sites if you read around and know how... and then figure out how to FTP to your hosting, and upload Wordpress and let her edit things...
